Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Abu dhabi.

SHEIKH ZAYED MOSQUE : THE SYMBOL OF TOLERANCE AND PEACE.

~THE MONUMENT WHICH IS ADMIRED MOST IN YESTERDAY'S!
THE MONUMENT ADMIRING BY MOST IN TODAY'S!
AND THE MONUMENT WILL BE ADMIRED FOREVER IN TOMORROW'S!.

SHEIKH ZAYED GRAND MOSQUE- A TOUR:

The sound of azan is literally echoing in the premises while entering.

No more horns...
No more engine acceleration...
only pure voice of azan...!!

seems like the buzzing abu dhabi got stucked, and impelled with the rhythm of azan.

WOW!!

So relaxing...i heard a complete pure azan after a long time!!

After the azan, as  the buzzing distracted the the state of momentum, the noises were in the air....!! and we just got parked! As the area around the mosque premises is huge, the scarcity of parking is less(since the abu dhabi is struggling for the parking).

Eventually we moved on to the main gate, undergone the check in gate, and done.

i have been here for couple of times or more...but every time, i'm amazed like a newbie observing every thing exhaustively ....may be the mystical powers of the mosque.

The mosque of historic impacts that blends architectural styles and embodies islam's message of tolerance and peace.

Though its cloudy day, the mosque sparkles with its own sunshine, the white marble gives us the whole noble piece. We moved through, and seen

different travellers with different cultures!! busy with the photoshoot sessions that s the only similarity i can observe(hahahaha).

THE REFLECTING POOLS:

As the name indicates the reflecting pools...its just a picturesque, reflecting each and every detailing...the blue under tailes grabs all the credits...!

there are pick and drop vehicles waiting for the travellers with priority. Its such a boon to travellers i would say. I seen a granny smiling after being seated. That's the cost of that shuttle(applause for the pickup service idea).

Moved towards inside,

THE COLUMNS:

I observed the never ending pillers called columns(more than 1000) covered with white natural marbles inlaid with the semi precious stones. The  golden date palms(inspired from emirati culture) on the top added its elegant appearance.

The people was what i was more excited about. People are friendlier and kind(hmm...may be the impact of the mystical power).

Everyone smiles. Everyone greets...Everyone helps!

DOMES:

In every side we will witness different and admiring styles of the mosque. And its purely the miracle of the architecture. Perhaps the most noticeable element is the collection of domes, the largest is which is located in the the main prayer hall. The domes feature pure white marble cladding, onion shaped 'crowns' and crescent shaped finials decorated with gold glass mosaic.

DRINKING FOUNTAINS:

The drinking water is also provided and made in its own uniqueness. The wall style is followed from "turkish architecture". After we went through the prayer  halls. there are different ablution for men and women. The same pattern is visible all over the ablution as we moved through...

MINARETS:

There are 4 minarets in total .It is the combination of mameluke, Ottoman, and fatimid architecture. which makes perfect blend of beauty and art.

as we strolled towards, we noticed that a staff with emirati attire were standing and collecting the coupons from the people. we don't have any of it though. As per the info collected from him, we reached a blue glassy house after a long tiring walk.

Later we understood that its a new feature added to the mosque dictionary that "for entering into the main prayer hall we just need to take a visit to this glassy house and should be enrolled and have the tickets followed.

We walked .....walked ....walked......literally i would say the healshoes sucks... after the long underground walk, my legs were almost got exhausted. After we realized that there is a shuttle provided..

ohooo.....

that's why there was a huge crowd in front ....

and being brave we came by the the shuttle though!!(hahaha, lol).

The glassy house seems like an airport ....yea there are many escalators....! but i didn't got any idea why they made that much space for walking???

anyway!

we atlas reached the destination after the follow up of many staffs.

In same place there are art gallery too...

such a marketing strategy!!(huh..)

The art gallery includes stuff toys... showpieces, books, toys etc. Given a visit to stalls and ended up buying nothing(hahaha..)

SHEIKH ZAYED TOMB:

In contrast to the splendour of the rest of the mosque, the tomb of sheikh zayed  who is the  man behind the magnificent grand mosque . Its like a small mosque humming with 24 hrs of prayers makes the place so lively and divine.

The azan of magrib is humming around since I observed the watch and its 6:15 pm . The whole mosque is illuminating, with bluish theme, since i was watching it for first time(every time i used to come over day and always miss these)

WOW! WHAT A BEAUTY!!

It's amazingly beautiful throughout. The domes resembles the lunar eclipse of the moon. This is acquired through the 22 light towers which projects the clouds in bluish grey color. Every night it changes accordingly.

And eventually entered to the main prayer hall. The walls are carved into flowers of marbles. the unique  yellow-green combination is just an artists beauty.

CHANDELIERS:

The mosque features seven crystal chandeliers and designed by Faustig munich, germany. the largest chandeliers weighs 12 tons which is in the main prayer hall. The prayer hall also consists of Allah's 99 names eventually written on the walls which makes us so satisfying and honoured!.

CARPETS:

The main prayer hall is having largest hand knotted carpets. The intricate Islamic medallion design which took 2 years to complete. Uff!!truly amazing!!!

The colors of walls, columns, and the carpets are harmonised in a manner that transforms the mosque into an artistic masterpiece and symphony of colors and shades.

That was the long, walky, exquisite visit of sheikh zayed grand mosque.

ENJOYED!

THANKS!!LOVE!!
